The World of Vibeke Klint

Guidelines for sizes

To achieve the best result, it is important that not only the color and design match the room and sofa group, but also that the right size of the rug is chosen.

If the room is large, it can be advantageous to choose a large rug that extends beyond the area of the sofa group, giving it an exclusive look. If a size beyond standard is desired, we can usually offer precisely the size needed.

If the room is smaller, it is recommended that the rug is at least large enough for the front legs of the sofa group to fit on it. When the legs of the sofa or armchair are on the rug, it also increases slip resistance.

Materials and quality

Vibeke Klint textile

NORDICMODERNs collection of handwoven rugs in original Vibeke Klint design is crafted using the finest natural materials such as New Zealand wool and linen. Wool has a high lanolin content, making the rugs naturally resistant to dirt.

The rugs are produced in northern India. The simple minimalist patterns, characteristic of Vibeke Klint, demand precision that only the best and most experienced weavers can deliver. To ensure that the quality meets the durability and precision of the original Vibeke Klint rugs, some of Denmark's most skilled weavers have trained the Indian weaving team in Danish techniques, such as extra-long warp threads, ensuring that the rugs last for many years.
